Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Courtland, AL is seeking a Test Engineer for our THAAD and FBM Ordnance Test Team to join a challenging environment focused on comprehensive testing and system integration.

You will plan, execute and document tests on in-house and COTS/GOTS components, ensuring adherence to specifications and schedules, with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced defense program.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering/Physics or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in leading a Team.
• Experience with basic hand tools, torque wrenches, battery operated tools.
• Experience in writing/following detailed procedures.
• Willing to work overtime supporting off shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components.
• Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.
• Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.
• Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems.
• Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations.
• Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance.
• Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

This exciting role is for our THAAD and FBM Ordnance Test Team in Courtland, AL. We perform Temperature and Humidity testing, Shock and Vibration testing, as well as live Ordnance functioning!

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $58200.00 - $108200.00

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
