Qualifications

  • Experience fabricating and testing electrical cables and wiring harnesses.
  • Experience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and test documentation.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Ability to work onsite in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Systems Integration Technician to support the assembly, integration, checkout, and testing of advanced aerospace and defense systems. This hands‑on role involves working with complex electromechanical hardware, electrical assemblies, sensors, power electronics, processors, and prototype systems in a research and development environment.


The ideal candidate will have experience supporting aerospace, military, defense, or highly technical engineering programs and be comfortable working in a fast‑paced laboratory and prototype development setting.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assemble, integrate, and test complex electromechanical and electronic systems.

  • Perform hardware checkout, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and functional verification of prototype assemblies and subsystems.

  • Fabricate, install, terminate, and test electrical cables and wiring harnesses.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, work instructions, assembly procedures, and test documentation.

  • Support system‑level integration activities involving sensors, processors, power electronics, and mechanical assemblies.

  • Operate laboratory test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other diagnostic tools.

  • Collect, document, and maintain build records, test results, inspection data, photographs, and technical documentation.

  • Support prototype development, system demonstrations, and field test activities.

  • Follow Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), clean‑room, laboratory, and high‑voltage safety procedures.

  • Handle sensitive technical information in accordance with security and program requirements.

  • Work closely with engineers and cross‑functional teams to support development, integration, troubleshooting, and validation efforts.


Required Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical training, military training, or related education preferred.

  • Experience assembling, integrating, or testing aerospace, military, defense, or complex electromechanical systems.

  • Experience fabricating and testing electrical cables and wiring harnesses.

  • Experience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

  • Ability to work onsite in a laboratory, engineering, or manufacturing environment.

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as required.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience supporting missile systems, munitions, aerospace platforms, precision‑guided systems, or other defense‑related programs.

  • Experience with system integration, hardware checkout, and verification testing.

  • Experience working with electromechanical assemblies, servo‑driven mechanisms, sensors, and advanced electronic systems.

  • Experience handling hazardous or controlled materials in a regulated environment.

  • Basic machining experience, including operation of mills and lathes.

  • Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
