Job summary

Golden Star Technology (GST) in Cerritos, California, is seeking a hands-on Systems Integration Technician to configure, integrate, troubleshoot, test, repair, and deploy enterprise IT hardware, including servers, storage, workstations, and network gear.

Work with OEM partners and engineers to execute deployments, manage asset tracking, and ensure deployment readiness in data centers and enterprise environments. 3+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in enterprise hardware support, deployment or data center operations.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise hardware platforms from HP, Dell, Lenovo, Cisco, Intel or similar.
• Experience with server rack integration, hardware staging, cable management, and enterprise deployments.
• Strong knowledge of server hardware, storage, networking, and workstations.
• Experience with imaging, configuration, diagnostics, and break-fix troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with RAID, BIOS/firmware updates, validation, and testing.
• Experience in data center, government, healthcare, education, or MSP environments.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational, communication, and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, and maintain enterprise IT hardware.
• Perform server builds, hardware installations, upgrades, and configurations.
• Install/configure CPUs, memory, SSDs/HDDs, RAID controllers, NICs, GPUs, and power supplies.

• Conduct QA testing, diagnostics, and break-fix troubleshooting.
• Document configurations, testing results, repairs, inventory transactions, deployments.
• Asset tag, track, and manage inventory using internal systems and Excel.
• Prepare systems for shipment, deployment, and customer installation.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, OEM partners, and technical teams.
• Follow ESD, safety, quality standards and best practices.

Position Summary

Golden Star Technology (GST) is seeking a skilled and motivated Integration Technician to join our growing Service Department. In this hands‑on role, you will configure, integrate, troubleshoot, test, repair, and deploy enterprise IT hardware solutions, including servers, storage systems, workstations, networking equipment, and data center infrastructure.

As a trusted partner of HP, Dell, Lenovo, Cisco, Intel, and other leading OEMs, GST transforms Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) equipment into fully integrated, customer‑ready technology solutions. This position is ideal for candidates with experience as a Server Technician, Data Center Technician, Hardware Technician, Deployment Technician, Rack Integration Technician, Systems Technician, or Enterprise IT Technician.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with server builds, rack integration, hardware installation, system configuration, asset management, break‑fix support, enterprise deployments, and data center operations in commercial, government, healthcare, education, or enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, and maintain enterprise IT hardware, including servers, storage systems, workstations, and network equipment.
• Perform server builds, hardware installations, upgrades, and system configurations based on customer requirements and engineering specifications.
• Install and configure CPUs, memory, SSDs, HDDs, RAID controllers, NICs, GPUs, power supplies, and other enterprise hardware components.
• Perform rack integration, cable management, hardware staging, system imaging, and deployment activities.
• Configure, test, validate, and document integrated technology solutions to ensure quality and deployment readiness.
• Support data center, server room, IDF/MDF, and infrastructure projects, including equipment installation and hardware migrations.
• Conduct quality assurance testing, diagnostics, and break‑fix troubleshooting to identify and resolve hardware issues.
• Document configurations, testing results, repairs, inventory transactions, and deployment activities.
• Asset tag, track, and manage inventory using internal systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Prepare systems for shipment, deployment, and customer installation.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, OEM partners, and technical teams to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
• Follow ESD procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in enterprise hardware support, systems integration, deployment, repair, or data center operations.
• Hands‑on experience with HP, Dell, Lenovo, Cisco, Intel, Supermicro, or comparable enterprise hardware platforms.
• Required: Experience with server rack integration, hardware staging, cable management, and enterprise deployments.
• Strong knowledge of server hardware, storage systems, networking equipment, and workstation platforms.
• Experience performing hardware installation, upgrades, imaging, configuration, diagnostics, and break‑fix troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with RAID configurations, BIOS/Firmware updates, hardware validation, and system testing.
• Experience supporting data center, enterprise, government, healthcare, education, or managed services environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Valid California Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in warehouse, integration lab, and data center environments.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime and flexible schedules as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise server platforms, blade systems, storage arrays, SAN/NAS solutions, and networking hardware.
• Experience with rack-and-stack deployments, structured cabling, cable management, and data center infrastructure projects.
• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, Dell EMC, Lenovo, Cisco CCNA, HP/HPE, or Microsoft certifications.
• Experience supporting government, aerospace, defense, healthcare, education, or enterprise customers.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, network fundamentals, imaging tools, asset management, and deployment technologies.
• Experience working for a systems integrator, value‑added reseller (VAR), managed services provider (MSP), OEM, or technology solutions provider.
