Job summary

Constellation Technologies is a federal contractor seeking a qualified security-focused engineer. The role requires US citizenship, an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, a bachelor’s degree, and an IAT Tier 1 certification.

Strong Linux and system administration experience are essential for success. Responsibilities include implementing security best practices, PKI certificate handling, and administering servers, networks, and cloud tooling such as AWS, Terraform, and Ansible.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph.
• Five (5) years of direct/relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• Must have an IAT Tier 1 certification, such as Security+ CE.
• Relevant experience in computer information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, forensics, information assurance and/or systems engineering; experience in network or system administration.
• Strong Linux experience.
• Experience in network or system administration.
• Experience in systems/network administration, application administration, and/or information technology support or management.
• Experience supporting hardware installation, such as servers and network infrastructure.
• Experience setting up storage such as NAS.
• Experience implementing security best practices including PKI certificate generation, deployment and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Unix shell scripting languages like Bash, Bourne, or C.

Job description

nginx, Docker, RedHat Satellite, cloud computing environments like AWS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT and Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, SELinix, FIPS , PKI certificate generation, Bash, Bourne, or C.

Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position.

Required:

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph.
• Must have five (05) years of direct/relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• Must have an IAT Tier 1 certification, such as Security+ CE
• Relevant experience must be in computer or information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance and/or systems engineering. Additionally, must have experience in network or system administration.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Experience deploying and maintaining nginx.
• Familiarity with Docker and RedHat Satellite.
• Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT and Ansible as wel as system monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with SELinix and FIPS

$125,000 - $160,000 a year

The pay range for this job, with multi-levels, is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
