Job summary

HX5, LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Integration Engineer to support the Agile Combat Support Program Office at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, OH. You will lead systems engineering activities, ensure airworthiness, and contribute to program documentation and integration efforts.

The role requires extensive government/acquisition experience, strong systems engineering knowledge, and the ability to travel as needed to support the program office.

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree with 15 years of relevant experience or a Master’s with 12 years of relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of Government Acquisition experience.
• Knowledge of systems engineering across definition, development, integration, verification, sustainment and airworthiness certification across hardware/software.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering including design and integration across multiple domains.
• Ensure airworthiness through AFPD 62-6 and flight authorizations.
• Review and update program documentation for systems engineering requirements/issues.

HX5 is currently seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to join our team in Dayton, Ohio at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to support the Agile Combat Support Program Office within the Mobility directorate.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering to include expertise in systems design and integration; manufacturing, quality and industrial engineering; airworthiness; and configuration and data management.
• Execute AFPD 62-6, USAF Airworthiness, through standardized processes, and issuance of flight authorizations.
• Assist in reviewing, developing, and updating applicable program documentation for systems engineering relevant requirements/issues.

Education and Experience:

• Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience;
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited program and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience.
  • Master’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited program and twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
• Must have five (5) years of Government Acquisition experience.
• Must have knowledge of systems engineering in support of system definition, development, integration, verification methods, sustainment, risk modeling/simulation, testing and evaluation, human system integration (HSI), crew stations engineering, OSS&E efforts, interoperability requirements, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems, including ground-based systems.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Must be able to travel, including air travel.
