  • Plan, perform, and document verification and validation (V&V) testing to confirm system performance, reliability, and compliance with design requirements.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and system-level issues, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions to resolve technical problems efficiently.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for system failures and performance deviations, and contribute to risk mitigation strategies and design improvements.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test procedures, protocols, and reports to support design verification and validation activities.
  • Support the full product development lifecycle, from early concept and prototyping through design verification, transfer to manufacturing, and commercialization.
  • Assist with manufacturing-related activities, including consumable and instrument builds, quality checks, and engineering verification tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in software, hardware, chemistry, manufacturing, and industrial design to align requirements and resolve integration challenges.
  • Apply QSR, ISO standards, and risk management principles to system integration, testing, and documentation in a regulated medical device or IVD environment.

  • Experience working in regulated medical device, diagnostics, or life sciences environments.
  • Knowledge of QSR, ISO standards, and risk management principles relevant to medical device or IVD product development.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced R&D setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience supporting cross-functional engineering teams across software, hardware, chemistry, manufacturing, and industrial design.
  • Background in medical device or in vitro diagnostic (IVD) product development, including design verification activities.
  • Experience supporting software, hardware, and consumable-based products throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing verification activities and quality checks for instruments and consumables.
  • Comfort working in a regulated environment with formal documentation, quality systems, and risk management processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Ability to contribute to systems-level thinking and understand interactions among mechanical, electrical, software, and chemical subsystems.
