Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Norcross, GA is seeking a senior business/systems analyst to define and support CPQ software modules that meet customer and sales needs. You will design whole-product solutions, capture detailed requirements, and drive feature stories with stakeholders across business and IT teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in a make-to-order manufacturing context, with proficiency in SDLC, SAFe, and CPQ platforms. Hybrid remote work is allowed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8+ years of experience in business or systems analysis
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle including Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Experience leading multicultural development teams and collaborating across a large organization
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving with attention to detail in designs and data/process flows
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills with stakeholders
  • Experience in developing CPQ platforms with CAD capabilities and RFC interfaces to SAP
  • Understanding of Enterprise architecture and mobile UI development
  • Familiarity with SAFe methodology and program increment planning

Responsibilities

  • Define and support the building of CPQ system software modules that meet customer, sales, and business needs
  • Design and implement product solutions considering stakeholder interests to deliver a whole-product solution
  • Capture explicit and implicit business requirements and contribute to behavior driven design (BDD) with quality teams
  • Work with business users, architects, and development teams to break features into stories and elicit dependencies
  • Prioritize backlog items to align with program increments and business objectives
  • Ensure timely delivery of features as per the program plan and manage technical debt and enablers
  • Provide inputs for release management and participate in program increment planning
  • Operate in a SAFe environment with hybrid remote work as permitted

Job description

Location: 3617 Parkway Ln, Norcross, GA 30092

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/Week

Summary of Duties

Responsible for defining and supporting the building of desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable COMPAS CPQ system software modules that meet our customer, sales, and business need. Design and implement product solutions by considering all stakeholders’ interests and develop a whole-product solution. Ensure the product quality by accurately capturing both explicit and implicit business user requirements and help define behavioral driven design (BDD) by closely working with quality team. Work with business users, architects, and development team to logically divide product feature into sets of stories. Elaborate stories through conversations with business users, answering development teams questions, and identify dependencies and resolve them as part of elaboration. Address product backlog and prioritize backlog items in alignment with program increment planning and current business objectives. Ensure timely delivery of product features as per the program plan. Actively engage in identifying enabler features, tech debt items and maintenance tasks, and get them prioritized in the program increment planning. Obtain feedback from business users and stakeholders, share both positive and negative feedback with team, and maximize positive aspects and devise ways to address negative aspects. Collaborate with Process Optimization and System Architecture teams on detailing business requirements. Provide inputs for program increment planning and release management. Expert application of SAFe agile development methodology. Hybrid remote work permitted.

Qualifications

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. The position requires experience with the following: 8 years of experience in a make-to-order manufacturing industry as a business or systems analyst role with a proven record of accomplishment of delivery. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Experience leading multicultural development team and collaboration with groups across a large organization. Strong analytical thinking/problem-solving skills with attention to detail when creating and reviewing functional and technical designs and data/process flow diagrams. Excellent relationship management skills – negotiation, managing expectations, timely, appropriate, and consistent communications, conflict management. Experience working in a metrics-driven environment, utilizing data driven techniques and tools to ensure goals are established and met. Effective communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts and considerations to different audiences including developers, business users and management. Experience in developing CPQ platform with CAD capabilities. Experience in implementing RFC interface connections with SAP system. Excellent understanding of Enterprise architecture, AWS ecosystem and mobile UI development. Working experience with SAFe methodology.
