Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is looking for a Systems Engineering Manager to work on the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) program. AGUN will unify the next generation of Army transport to comply with the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) divestiture mandate. The Systems Engineering Manager will support a high-profile Army Software Defined Network infrastructure program.

This position is 100% remote with some travel required.

Clearance Requirement: Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain the clearance

So, what will you be doing in this role?

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team
  • Resolve technical challenges and provide guidance on system architecture and design
  • Establish and enforce best practices around security, scalability, and reliability within both your team and software development teams
  • Drive the implementation of various projects related to the program
  • Collaborate with government and project teams to continually improve the SDN solution, ensuring consistency, interoperability, and compliance
  • Lead and oversee security and compliance audits of systems infrastructure
  • Drive delivery of all contractual requirements within cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to support value creation strategies and actions.
  • Direct the work of employees assigned to the program.
  • Technical oversight of subcontractors & suppliers to meet program objectives.
  • Adhere to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization.
  • Lead by example with professional, collaborative, and ethical conduct.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of technical experience in the DOD, experience with the Army is a plus.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and driving disciplined engineering practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proven ability to effectively manage team members in a highly technical and intense operating environment
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Candidate must possess Secret clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in software defined networks
  • Understanding of core network technologies as well as emerging capabilities.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
