Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking engineering students for internships/co-ops on onsite roles focused on system-level requirements, integration, and verification planning. You will translate customer specs into hardware/software needs and contribute to analysis and documentation throughout the development lifecycle.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in aerospace, electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering, with a passion for aviation and prior internship

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in an applicable engineering discipline [Aerospace (preferred), Electrical, Computer, Mechanical] and actively enrolled through completion of the internship / co-op session.
• Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience is a plus.
• Private Pilot License, or general passion for aviation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support system-level requirements development by analyzing customer specifications and translating them into clear hardware and software needs.
• Participate in system integration activities, including creating interface definitions and verifying system behavior against requirements.
• Assist with verification and validation planning and execution, including test procedure development and data analysis.
• Contribute to functional analyses, architectural exploration, and trade studies to evaluate design alternatives considering performance, cost, and risk.
• Help maintain system configuration and documentation throughout the development lifecycle.

• Relocation Eligibility

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
