Job summary

RTX's Cedar Rapids office is seeking a student or early-career engineer intern/co-op to define avionics system requirements and develop design documentation.

You will learn to plan and track work with engineering tools, write requirements, and collaborate with large multi-disciplinary teams while contributing to certification compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in an Engineering discipline and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.

What You Will Do:

• Determines full avionics system requirements for avionics systems;

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in an Engineering discipline and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Past aviation experience (such as being a pilot or aircraft maintainer)
• Personal project experience related to building or working with complex systems
• Experience with technical writing such as undergraduate research papers.
• Previous project leadership and communication/coordination roles.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
