Job summary

Systech Federal seeks a Systems Engineer to manage the applications infrastructure across networks, provide security compliance support, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

This role requires design, installation, monitoring, automation, troubleshooting, documentation, and evaluating new technologies, with collaboration across DevOps, management, and other teams. Active TS/SCI FSP required to start.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of system engineering, testing, or DevOps experience.
• Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools.
• Strong knowledge of Jenkins, Linux/Unix, Git, and scripting (Python/Bash).
• Familiarity with Agile development practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM fields required.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and test operating systems and system management tools.
• Proactively monitor system performance and maintain high availability.
• Implement security measures, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
• Develop scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across hardware, software, and network components.
• Collaborate with developers, management, and other departments to deliver solutions.
• Create and maintain detailed system documentation.
• Research emerging technologies for upgrades or new implementations.
