Job summary

Fathom 4, LLC in Quantico, VA seeks a Systems Engineer to define, design, and provide engineering support for fixed-site IT systems, collaborating with USMC projects and external stakeholders.

You will prepare status reports and presentations on architecture and task performance, supervise staff as needed, and contribute to systems engineering and integration across networks, servers, and virtualized environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science from ABET-accredited program.
• 5–7 years in research, design, and development of computer and network software or architecture.
• Experience with modern software development methodologies ( Agile/DevOps/DevSecOps ).
• Experience in architecture and support of C5ISR or information management systems.
• Security clearance: current Secret.

Responsibilities

• Systems engineering support for USMC IT infrastructure including networks, servers, laptops, software, containers, and virtualization.
• Understand USMC systems engineering methods and approval processes.
• Networking, architectures, topologies, ports/protocols, virtual networks.
• Systems administration for Windows and Linux.
• Manage virtualized infrastructures (VMware, HyperV).
