Job summary

Grantek is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to develop real-time automation solutions from the plant floor to the enterprise level. You will work with PLC/PAC programming, HMI, SCADA, and database design while collaborating with clients on challenging manufacturing projects.

The role requires experience with SCADA platforms and networking, and a willingness to travel up to 50% in the Virginia/Maryland area.

Qualifications

Successful or upcoming completion of a B.Sc./engineering degree in a related field.
Academic or working experience with the listed technologies and tools used in the project work.
Meticulous, conscientious, analytical, focused, self-starter with quick learning.
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
Valid Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle.
Located in Central Virginia or Maryland with willingness to travel 30-50%.

Responsibilities

Engineering and implementing real-time automation controls and information solutions.
Conceptualizing during the design phase of the project life cycle.
System programming, debugging, and testing.
Creating engineering documentation and project traceability.
Commissioning new solutions at client sites and identifying improvements.
Developing methodologies and solving complex problems.
Learning new technologies and mentoring colleagues.
