Job summary

Grantek is seeking a hands-on Engineer to join our Engineering team in Cleveland, Ohio. You will develop real-time automation solutions from the plant floor to the enterprise level using PLC/PAC programming, HMI design, SCADA, MES, and ERP connectors, with C#, HTML5, .NET, SQL, VB/VBA as core tools.

Collaborating with senior engineers on Fortune 100 clients, you’ll mentor junior teammates, design robust solutions, document work, and travel up to 50% across North America.

Qualifications

• Successful or upcoming completion of B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering Technology degree.
• Academic or working experience with Technologies Used listed in the ad.
• Meticulous, conscientious, analytical, and self-motivated.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
• Valid Driver’s License and personal vehicle access.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across North America.

Responsibilities

• Engineering and implementing real-time automation controls and information solutions.
• Conceptualizing during the design phase of the project life cycle.
• System programming, debugging, and testing.
• Creating documentation including project notes and design traces.
• Commissioning new solutions at client sites and identifying improvements.
• Learning new technologies and mentoring colleagues.
