Nebula in El Segundo, CA seeks a Systems Engineer to own the component reel library and related inventory reconciliation between hardware and ledger systems. You will lead automated storage, retrieval, tagging, and interfaces to connect shelves with orders and BOM records.
You will build the first racks, tagging behind them, and specify interfaces that make a reel on a feeder and a line on a bill of materials one record. On-site, equity is offered in a high-growth startup.
Your role is to own the component reel library as one system: the tagged reels and racks, the machinery that retrieves them, and the ledger that keeps the record true against a customer's bill of materials.
The physical half is identification, storage and automated retrieval, out to kitting and feeder setup. The software half is the inventory ledger, its reconciliation against the shelf, and its interfaces up to orders and down to machines.
You will build the first racks, the tagging behind them, and the retrieval and kitting that feed the placement cell, and specify the interfaces that make a reel on a feeder and a line on a bill of materials one record.
We are looking for systems engineers with experience and interest in automated storage and retrieval, identification and traceability, inventory software, and the interface work that holds a store and its ledger to the same truth.
Every role works with our AI systems daily. What can be deterministic, must be. You need no AI background; we prefer people without one. We hire for your knowledge and experience in the field first, so you can steer the ship; the tooling is a learning curve we expect you to take on.
We work on-site in El Segundo. This is hard work, but you will be rewarded with equity in a company we believe will become one of the world's most valuable.
