Job summary

Joint Research and Development, LLC (JRAD) is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide technical and analytical support to the Expeditionary Medicine and Navy Forward Deployable units. This onsite role is based in Indian Head, MD, or Norfolk, VA, and requires translating clinical needs into engineering artifacts.

The position calls for strong systems engineering, requirements analysis, and test planning skills, with SECRET clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in systems engineering, requirements development, or related engineering disciplines.
• Experience with CBRN, medical systems, or expeditionary/operational programs is highly desirable.
• Program/Project management experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute team assignments to meet project goals.
• Apply engineering procedures and analytical methods to support ExMed missions.
• Conduct requirements analysis, evaluations, and system assessments for medical/CBRN capabilities.
• Observe and document test events to support Navy program integration.
• Review engineering drawings and technical publications across CB Defense portfolio.
• Develop technical documentation and acquisition artifacts for ExMed and CB Detection.
