Job summary

JRAD is seeking a Systems Engineer to support NSWC CB RD efforts. This onsite role can be filled in Norfolk, VA or Indian Head, MD, providing technical and analytical engineering support for ExMed Family of Systems and Navy FDPMUs.

The position requires broad knowledge of CBRN defense and medical systems, with responsibilities spanning requirements analysis, testing, and documentation to enable Navy program integration. Travel up to 30% may be required, and a SECRET clearance is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in systems engineering, requirements development, or technical analysis.
• Experience with CBRN, medical systems, or expeditionary/operational programs is desirable.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute assigned tasks.
• Apply engineering procedures, analytical methods, and technical expertise to support ExMed mission.
• Conduct requirements analyses, technical evaluations, and system assessments for medical/CBRN capabilities.
• Observe, document test events, and support Navy program integration.
• Review engineering drawings and system specs across CB Defense portfolio.
• Support development of technical documentation and acquisition artifacts.
