Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Systems Engineer/Modeling Simulation 2/3 to join our Melbourne, FL team. You will help develop and maintain system-level modeling and simulation architectures to design, analyze, and verify complex aerospace systems, guided by senior engineers.

Responsibilities include defining MBSE-based concepts, external interfaces between models and physical systems, and contributing to DoDAF and SysML viewpoints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2 years (level 2) or Master’s with 0 years.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance required.
• Foundation in MBSE and architecture development.
• Exposure to modeling and simulation frameworks or similar academic/industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain Mod & Sim architectures to enable system design, integration, and test.
• Assist with Architecture, CONOPS, and use case development for the modeling and simulation environment using MBSE.
• Perform functional analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition for Mod & Sim capabilities.
• Develop DoDAF and/or SysML viewpoints and model artifacts describing simulation architecture and data flows.
• Collaborate with vehicle/system design teams to ensure Mod & Sim supports design decisions, risk reduction, and test planning.
