Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Systems Engineer focused on MATLAB/Simulink to support NASIC/NSIC‑related intelligence missions. You will develop, modify, and apply physics‑based models of mechanical and aerospace systems to support mission‑level analysis.

Domestic travel up to 10% may be required, and strong collaboration with DoD personnel is expected. The role requires TS/SCI clearance, experience with MATLAB/Simulink, and hands‑on coding in languages like Python or C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM discipline; Level 2 requires 2+ years or MS with 0 years.
• Level 3 requires 5+ years or MS with 3+ years; U.S. Citizenship with TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and hands-on coding in Python/C++.
• Familiarity with modeling & simulation of mechanical or aerospace systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and validate TMAP models for intelligence analysis.
• Use MATLAB/Simulink to build component- and system-level models for analysis workflows.
• Integrate models with AFSIM and other tools; collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Document modeling approaches and communicate findings to technical/non-technical audiences.
• Work in an Agile environment; utilize Jira for task management.
