Crimson Phoenix seeks a seasoned Linux Systems Engineer in a dynamic environment. You will design and maintain enterprise Linux environments, advise on engineering methods, and help standardize information systems procedures. Strong scripting and cloud skills are essential for success.

Responsibilities include operations, maintenance, and performance tuning across Linux servers, plus documentation and collaboration with technical leads. A strong Linux background and cloud experience are required.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of Linux systems engineering experience.
• Hands-on with Red Hat derivatives (CentOS/RHEL/RockyOS).
• Strong shell scripting and Linux CLI skills.
• Experience providing Linux administration and infra support.
• Ability to create program- and user-level documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering in large enterprise Linux environments.
• Provide technical guidance on software engineering techniques.
• Analyze applications and design specifications for activities.
• Prepare required program- and user-level documentation.
• Assist in establishing standards for information systems procedures.

Job Description Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

We are looking for a experienced Linux Systems Engineer with a minimum of 11+ years' experience. Bachelor's Master's degrees are preferred with a background utilizing the following: Linux including Red Hat and its derivatives (centOS, RHEL, RockyOS). Experience in shell scripting and manipulating the Linux command line. Experience providing Linux Administration support Experience providing engineering infrastructure support.

• Perform systems engineering and software development in multiple large enterprise server environments (e.g., Linux, Red Hat and CentOS)
• Provide technical guidance in software engineering techniques and automated support tools.
• Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.
• Prepare required documentation (program-level and user-level)
• Assist in establishing standards for information systems procedures.
• Perform technical evaluations and analysis.
• Support the customer in the development and maintenance of systems baseline.
• Assess server loads and work with technical leads to develop tuning recommendations.
• Additional duties, as assigned.

O&M duties include:

• Provide operational pager/phone duty support.
• Complete day-to-day Operations & Maintenance tasks.

Compensation & Benefits:

This position has an anticipated salary range of $127,399-$196,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, education, certifications, and business needs.
