Job summary

DCI Solutions seeks a Platform and Automation engineer to own complex Linux environments end-to-end. You will collaborate with multiple teams to ensure secure, reliable operation and drive automation across provisioning, patching, and data workflows.

Required experience includes Linux platform engineering, cloud administration (AWS), and automation with Python, Ansible, and Terraform. Kubernetes and Docker experience are preferred, with TS/SCI clearance highly advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in platform, automation, or infrastructure engineering
• Experience with Linux system environments and enterprise production operations
• Proficient in automation: Python, Ansible, Bash (Go preferred)
• Security hardening, patch/configuration management, and monitoring
• Experience with Terraform and AWS for cloud infrastructure
• Familiarity with containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Top-tier problem-solving, triage, and incident response capabilities

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Linux platform environments and automation
• Monitor alerts, triage outages, and develop remediation plans
• Configure, provision, and maintain system infrastructure
• Administer AWS accounts with Terraform and manage storage/indexing systems
• Secure platforms with patching, hardening, and monitoring

• Serve as a Platform and Automation engineer for Linux system environments
• Provide end-to-end ownership of complex Linux system environments
• Work with teams to keep systems running smoothly and securely
• Serve as the team's expert and owner for all things systems administration o You are the first line of defense against a variety of server threats
• Monitor alerts, triage outages, and come up with plans to solve issues
• Automate processes such as:
• Data Transformations
• Operational workflows
• Operating system patching
• Security hardening, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Administer AWS cloud accounts with Terraform o Troubleshoot and debug via the AWS Console and CLI
• Handle data storage and indexing systems operations, including:
• Monitoring, backup management, and upgrades
• Configure and maintain web servers, including:

Qualification

• 5+ years of experience with the following:

• Cloud administration
• Proficient using the following languages for automation, scripting, and/or programming:

• Bash/go (preferred)
• Ability to troubleshoot server hardware failures
• Applied knowledge in operating system security and hardening
• Experience in patch/configuration management in enterprise production environments
• Exposure to operation and configuration of database and web server technologies
• Experience with automation frameworks
• Specifically Ansible, to write scripts and automate security processes
• Experience with Kubernetes (preferred)
• Experience with Docker / Containerization / Container Orchestration (preferred)
• DevOps and/or CI/CD pipeline experience (preferred) Clearance: TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph Clearance
