Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners seeks Systems Engineers to support the full system lifecycle from concept through retirement. Roles span Level 2 through Level 6, with responsibilities in technical execution, project leadership, and enterprise engineering.

This position requires US citizenship and an active security clearance with polygraph. Experts will collaborate with customers, program personnel, and government stakeholders to manage risks and ensure mission-critical capabilities are delivered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or related discipline; equivalent substitutions may apply.
• Level 2 requires 4 years of systems engineering experience; Master’s substitutes for 1 year, PhD for 3 years.
• Level 3 requires 6 years of experience; alternatives include high school diploma + 10 years or Master’s/PhD + 4 years.
• Level 4 requires 10 years; alternatives include high school diploma +14 years or Master’s/PhD +8 years.
• Level 5 requires 15 years; alternatives include high school diploma +19 years or Master’s/PhD +13 years.
• Level 6 requires 20 years; alternatives include high school diploma +24 years or Master’s/PhD +18 years.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering principles across the full system lifecycle.
• Support ISO/IEC 15288 processes in technical, project, and enterprise areas.
• Perform analyses and evaluate alternatives to support objectives.
• Develop and deliver SE work products and documentation.
• Assist with requirements analysis, architecture development, integration, verification, validation, and transitions.
• Communicate issues, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Lead engineering activities across complex programs and coordinate deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership and drive process improvements.
