Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer Level 3/4 to join the Cape Canaveral, FL team within Mission Systems. You will develop requirements, perform system integration, and support MBSE activities for launcher hardware across Navy platforms.

The role requires reading technical drawings, managing interfaces, and coordinating formal reviews. US citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance are needed. Salary ranges reflect level 3/4 qualifications and company benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years relevant work experience; or Master’s Degree with 3 years relevant work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• First-hand experience with requirements and interface management.
• Familiarity with system drawings and documents (Interface Control Documents, System/Subsystem Specifications, VCRM).
• Experience with system engineering tools such as IBM Rational DOORS.
• Familiarity with MBSE concepts and tools.
• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements development, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses for total systems.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware/software specifications within time and cost constraints.
• Conduct functional/timeline analyses, trade studies, and interface definitions.
• Create/update System/sub-system level specifications and verification matrices.
• Maintain system drawings and interface documents.
• Coordinate reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, IRR, TRR).
• Support Model Based System Engineering outputs (MBSE artifacts).
