Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer (Level 4) to join our Marine Systems organization in support of launcher hardware for Navy platforms. You will develop requirements, perform analyses, and coordinate reviews to ensure system-level success.

The role requires a STEM degree with significant experience, DoORS proficiency, and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance. Travel up to 10% may be required and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8+ years relevant experience; Master’s with 6 years; PhD with 4 years.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• First-hand experience with requirements and interface management.
• Familiarity with system drawings and documents such as Interface Control Documents and VCRM.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements development, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses.
• Translate requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Update System/sub-system specifications and DOORS artifacts.
• Coordinate internal and external reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, IRR, TRR).
• Contribute to Model Based System Engineering outputs (MBSE).
