Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP is seeking a Systems Engineer to support deployment, maintenance, and performance of the firm’s software applications serving attorneys and business professionals. The ideal candidate is collaborative, solutions‑oriented, with strong application support experience in a fast‑paced professional services environment.

This role can be based in Cincinnati, OH or Louisville, KY and offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive salary.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience with software systems implementation, upgrades, maintenance, and support.
Experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager, Intune, Group Policy and related policies.
Experience administering Microsoft technologies incl. AD, Entra ID, M365, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Windows 11/Server, SQL, Azure Virtual Desktop.
PowerShell scripting and application deployment, troubleshooting, patching, lifecycle management.
Proficiency with legal and business apps including NetDocuments, CRM and productivity tools in a law firm.
Document and maintain standard configurations for laptops/desktops with Windows 11; review hardware upgrades.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, deploy, monitor, and maintain on‑premises and cloud apps with other IT teams.
Liaise with vendors and IT personnel to resolve issues and escalate when needed.
Monitor and respond to tickets in the ticketing system.
Package, test, and deploy line‑of‑business and legal applications (DMS, time & billing, productivity).
Manage application lifecycle, including patching and upgrades.
Provide third‑level application support for escalated tickets.
Maintain standard images deployed to firm computers.
Maintain application documentation, including configuration standards and procedures.
Monitor performance, availability, and reliability; suggest improvements.
Support integrations between firm apps, Microsoft 365, DMS, and other platforms.
Develop scripts/tools to streamline deployment, configuration, maintenance, and reporting.
Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to IT support teams.
Support change management with changes, testing, steps, and rollback plans.
