Power3 Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their rapidly growing team in Fort Meade, MD. The ideal candidate will hold a TS/SCI with poly, have DoD experience, and deep knowledge of Cisco switches, routers and firewalls.

Responsibilities include designing rack layouts and network diagrams, evaluating security architectures, and supporting SSP development. Proficiency with Wireshark, JIRA and Confluence is valued.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI Poly; required for role.
• BS degree with extensive experience in intelligence/community environment.
• Experience with Cisco switches/routers/firewalls and security appliances.
• Proficient in network analysis tools such as Wireshark and Tripwire.
• Experience with DoD network architectures and SSP development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop rack configurations, drawings and network diagrams.
• Evaluate network security and hardening in DoD environments.
• Support SSP development and related security processes.
• Troubleshoot networks and evaluate message paths, Acks/Nacks.
• Assess network configuration correctness and firewall traffic.

Looking for a Systems Engineer to join their rapidly growing team!

Description:

• Network security hardening experience
• Specific knowledge of CISCO switches, routers and firewalls to include the Cisco 9300 series switches
• Demonstrated ability to design and develop rack configurations drawings and network diagrams
• Expertise and knowledge of switches, routers, firewalls, security appliances and architectures of network as a service
• Network security and network hardening experience in DoD environments
• Support for SSP development
• Network Troubleshooting
  • Evaluation of message receiving functions
  • Assessment of Acks and Nacks
  • Ability to understand specific functions
  • Drawing and configuration of racks
  • Assess if network is configured correctly
  • Review firewall traffic (use of Packet Tools and Tripwire)
  • Tools: Wireshark and others
  • Ability to determine which side of the network problem is from a connection standpoint
• Network Requirements Evaluation and developing network diagrams in Visio, PowerPoint and Excel
• Physical Network Construction (installation of switches, fiber, cables security devices and more) on SERD for SCS/ESB
• Assistance to tamper and concealment group in assessing needs for design and deployed network
• HAIPE MTU assessment and review
• Fiber installation and removal
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence and similar tools

Qualifications:

• TS/SCI Poly
• BS + 20 years experience
• Experience preferably in an intelligence community environment.
• Experience with CISCO switches, routers and firewalls, dell and other servers, network laptops, network debug and analysis tools such as Wirehsark and Tripwire.
• Experience with devices such as Palo Alto, Haipe or other security appliances.
