Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC is seeking a Systems Engineer, Infrastructure in Houston, TX. This full-time, hybrid role supports on-premises and cloud infrastructure, with emphasis on automation, monitoring, and disaster recovery.

You will work with VMware, Windows Server, Linux, AD, Citrix, and SQL for critical business systems. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in systems engineering, strong troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and hands-on experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in systems engineering or administration.
• Strong experience with VMware, Windows Server, and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage server lifecycle: installation, upgrades, decommissioning for VMware vSphere/vCenter, Windows and Linux systems.
• Administer Distributed File Systems and vSAN storage platforms.
• Plan and execute patching, upgrades, and root-cause analyses for infra incidents.
• Support and maintain backup/recovery systems and DR planning.
• Provide second-level escalation support for desktop and infrastructure issues and participate in on-call rotations.
