Full Time
Primary Technical & Infrastructure Responsibilities
- Sandbox Orchestration: Build and scale secure, multi-tenant sandbox execution environments that allow AI agents to safely execute code, process files, and perform persistent operations for enterprise clients.
- Core Systems Infrastructure: Architect and own foundational compute, container, and distributed storage building blocks as the platform transitions from an open-source, on-prem V2 platform to a managed cloud offering.
- Under-the-Hood Container Internals: Leverage deep, low-level knowledge of Linux kernel primitives, Docker internals, Kubernetes, Firecracker microVMs, and gVisor isolation mechanisms to drive ultra-low latency sandbox startup and rock-solid multi-tenant isolation.
- CTO & Product Partnership: Work directly with the CTO, core engineering team, and enterprise customers to align infrastructure choices with user experience (e.g., sandbox execution speed, system reliability, resource efficiency, and compute cost).
- End-to-End Operational Ownership: Lead infrastructure projects from architectural design through production deployment, maintaining full ownership of observability, runbooks, performance tuning, and on-call rotation.
Candidate Qualifications & Recruiter Hiring Signals
- 4 8 Years Systems Engineering Experience: Proven track record as a Systems, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineer owning production multi-tenant compute infrastructure end-to-end.
- Deep Systems Languages Mastery: Strong proficiency in Rust, Go, or C/C++ is mandatory (resumes heavy on Java or enterprise APIs are non-starters; no front-end work expected).
- MicroVM & Container Expertise: Hands-on internal knowledge of Firecracker, gVisor, Docker internals, and Kubernetes architecture not just surface-level tool usage.
- Hiring Manager Preferences: Strong preference for candidates with stays of 3+ years at prior companies (frequent job changes under 1.5 years raise questions); active GitHub with container/infra commits is highly valued.
