Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a Systems Engineer to support Test Operations in Southern California.

You will analyze and resolve moderately complex infrastructure and systems engineering problems, design and deploy infrastructure, and collaborate with project teams on engineering objectives. Qualifications

Typically requires a bachelors or masters degree in engineering or a related technical discipline and two or more years of engineering experience.
Solid understanding of engineering concepts related to computing systems, operating systems, networking, virtualization platforms, and distributed systems.
Ability to independently apply engineering knowledge, evaluate system performance, and use advanced diagnostic tools while ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance.
Experience with infrastructure technologies such as server operating systems, virtualization platforms, system monitoring tools, automation tools, and networking fundamentals is desirable.
Must be able to learn new technologies quickly in an evolving infrastructure environment.

Responsibilities

Applies engineering knowledge to analyze, investigate, and resolve moderately complex infrastructure and systems engineering problems.
Designs, deploys, and maintains infrastructure systems including servers, virtual machines, system software, and related services.
Performs functional testing, validation, and troubleshooting of infrastructure systems, equipment, and software.
