The role focuses on software development planning, coding, testing, and deployment across the enterprise with attention to secure DoD-compliant practices. The candidate should have a strong foundation in algorithms, data structures and OOP, with proficiency in C/C++ and working knowledge of Java or Python, plus familiarity with CI/CD and Docker/Podman.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline with 2+ years of software development experience.
• Basic understanding of software development concepts, programming and analysis concepts.
• Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures, and OOP concepts.
• Proficiency in C or C++ and working knowledge of Java or Python.
• Familiarity with CI/CD; experience with Docker/Podman is a plus; familiarity with React is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine user requirements and plan software development within a broad scope.
• Formulate detailed plans for implementation, including language, platform and resource needs.
• Code, test and document designs; deploy applications enterprise-wide.
• Maintain code with debugging and updates as the environment evolves.
• Communicate with developers, users, management and wider community.
• Observe all laws and safety procedures and work in a DoD context as required.
