Job summary

Averro in Rockville, MD is seeking a Senior Hardware Systems Engineer to lead requirements development and system decomposition across MBSE frameworks. You will guide architecture, verification, and validation, and mentor engineers while collaborating across disciplines.

Responsibilities include building MBSE models, managing interfaces, and identifying risks with mitigations. Prior nuclear domain experience is preferred; ABET‑accredited degree required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, or related ABET‑accredited engineering program.
• 5+ years hardware systems engineering with complete V lifecycle experience; concept through test and integration.
• Regulated-industry experience; nuclear preferred, aerospace, manufacturing, or automotive considered.
