Job summary

Agile Defense is seeking a Systems Engineer III in the McLean, VA area to lead complex Navy Combat Systems and Electronic Warfare efforts from requirements analysis through full lifecycle execution.

The candidate will apply advanced systems engineering skills, review architectures, and guide design decisions while supporting high-visibility test and training events within DoD programs. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer, electrical, electronics engineering, or systems engineering.
• Ten years in systems engineering with Combat Systems or Electronic Warfare.
• U.S. citizenship and active Secret clearance at minimum.
• Travel up to 20% CONUS & OCONUS.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements analysis through full lifecycle execution for Navy Combat Systems.
• Review architectures, interfaces, and system processing for performance.
• Develop test plans, specifications, and reports for training systems.
• Support DoD software projects from cradle to grave.
• Apply IEEE standards and best practices in system design.
