Job summary

Agile Defense is seeking a Systems Engineer III with deep technical expertise in Navy Combat Systems and Electronic Warfare who can lead complex engineering efforts from requirements analysis through full lifecycle execution.

The ideal candidate will bring advanced systems engineering skills, hands-on experience with Navy training systems, and the ability to evaluate architectures, guide design decisions, and support high-visibility test and training events.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Ten years of professional systems engineering experience with Combat Systems or EW.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% CONUS & OCONUS.
• U.S. citizen with active Secret clearance at minimum.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements to Trouble Reports (TR) and Change Requests (CR) against failed requirements.
• Review architectures, component allocation, interfaces, and system performance for Combat Systems/EW Navy systems.
• Evaluate design options and recommend solutions for Combat Systems/EW issues.
• Develop test plans, test specifications, and test reports.
• Create procedures to test functional- and system-level requirements.
• Manage DoD software projects cradle-to-grave.
• Apply IEEE standards and best practices.
• Support Navy training system test events and tool development.
