Job summary

Onyx Point, Inc. is seeking a senior Systems Engineer with active TS/SCI w/ FSP clearance to lead requirements, architecture, and integration efforts.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage system requirements, and advise on IPTs for capability development, while ensuring compliance with security and performance objectives. The role requires extensive SE background, strong documentation skills, and experience in customer/developer engagement, sprint planning, and DevOps coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and maintaining system engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents
• Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure production systems align with defined architectures
• Assist with development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation to hardware, software, facility, and personnel components
• Coordinate resolution of action items from CCB meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews requiring cross-discipline coordination
• Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based on evaluation of development and operational considerations
• Participate in development of system engineering documentation such as SEPs, ICDs, requirements specifications, and interface control documents
• Participate in interface definition, design, and changes to configuration between groups throughout the life cycle
• Allocate real-time process budgets and error budgets to systems and subsystem components
• Derive from system requirements an understanding of stakeholder needs and essential functions for system effectiveness
• Derive lower-level requirements from higher-level allocations and ensure they are complete and verifiable
• Generate alternative system concepts and architectures
• Establish and gain approval of definitions for system/components under development
• Define methods and evaluation criteria to verify systems and components
• Develop system design solutions that satisfy requirements
• Develop derived requirements for Information Assurance services and mechanisms
• Review and input to WBS, work packages, and IMP

Responsibilities
