Job summary

Captivation is seeking a mid-level systems engineer to collaborate with customer stakeholders on a closed system spanning multiple locations across Capabilities and Operations. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with a valid polygraph and US citizenship.

You will contribute to Linux-based systems, automation, security compliance, and documentation while supporting our mission to protect the country. This position is open for direct hires only.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline is required
• Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools.
• Demonstrated experience administering Linux systems.
• Experience developing automation scripts (Bash/Python) to streamline tasks.
• Experience with STE/STN security compliance requirements and ensuring systems adhere to policies.
• Familiar with basic Cisco switch configuration.
• Familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and container.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and updating clear, accurate, and accessible technical documentation.
