Job summary

RTX is seeking entry‑level engineers for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ. You will work in aerospace and defense to test and validate RF or EO/IR models, integrating algorithms into system hardware and software, and preparing documentation for leadership reviews.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in a related STEM field and have experience with MATLAB or Python, plus C/C++. Internship or project experience in signal processing is a plus and relocation to Tucson may be required.

Used across our products and new business initiatives, signal processing algorithms extract and exploit signals to be used for calibration and de‑noising of raw sensor data; detecting, acquiring, tracking, and classifying objects of interest; and sensor fusion.

This is an Entry Level Role onsite in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do:

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
• Experience developing scripts and functions with MATLAB or Python for evaluation of data sets.
• Experience with the C or C++ programming languages.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• completed or currently be taking at least two courses in Signal Processing / Image Processing (e.g., Signals & Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Signal Analysis, Radar Signal Processing, Radar and Communication Systems, Radar Systems Analysis & Design, Adaptive Array Processing, Digital Image Processing, or equivalent).
• Professional internships, capstone/senior project, or academic research that provides experience applying signal processing techniques to RF or EO/IR data and models.
• Experience with version control tools such as Azure DevOps and Git.
• Prior internship, co‑op, or work experience.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD.
