Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking an Enterprise Network Engineer to design, implement, test and support a highly available network and telecommunications service. This role will drive capital projects and provide expert support to instructional and administrative staff across the district.

The incumbent will monitor network health, analyze performance, and mentor contractors, while ensuring timely restoration of services for students and staff.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• 3 years of experience with large scale network systems required.
• Network design experience preferred.
• Experience with server and client operating systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, testing, and deployment of new network solutions.
• Support capital projects aligned with district goals.
• Provide high level network infrastructure support to staff and contractors.
• Monitor network health and perform trend analysis as directed.
• Supervise contractors and mentor private personnel to meet ICT goals.
• Communicate technical issues clearly and professionally to stakeholders.
• Document all administered systems and updates thoroughly.
