Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 1–3+ years in science/engineering.
• Hands-on experience with PCR, nucleic acid extraction, DNA sequencing, sample preparation, library preparation, and/or NGS.
• Experience with data analysis or automation using Python, MATLAB, or Git.
• Knowledge of JMP, regression, ANOVA for statistical analysis.
• Experience with DoE and statistical process control.
• Strong troubleshooting, data analysis, and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, analyze, and document experiments for NGS feasibility, development, integration, verification, and validation.
• Perform nucleic acid extraction, sample and library preparation, and sequencing experiments.
• Optimize sequencing workflows and operating protocols.
• Troubleshoot instrument, assay, and workflow failures using root cause analysis.
• Develop and execute test cases based on product requirements.
• Apply DoE methods to interpret data and improve sequencing performance.
• Collaborate with assay, instrumentation, software, bioinformatics, and systems engineering teams.
• Maintain laboratory records and support performance improvements.
