Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Systems Engineer II for Integrated Flight Management Systems (FMS) in Phoenix. You will support development, integration, verification and certification of FMS solutions for Airbus programs, interfacing with software, hardware, certification and verification teams.

The role requires collaboration with Airbus customers and cross-functional teams to define requirements, analyze system behavior, and drive issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• Minimum 2 years in Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, Avionics, Aerospace, or Embedded systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and manage system requirements for Airbus FMS functionality.
• Analyze Airbus operational requirements and ensure alignment with FMS system design.
• Support system architecture, requirements decomposition, and interface definition activities.
• Investigate, document, and track system observations and defects using JIRA.
• Support integration, verification, validation, and certification activities.
• Perform system-level troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate with software, navigation, guidance, performance, and V&V teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support customer issue investigations and technical reviews.
• Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and compliance artifacts.
