Job summary

Textron Systems, a Textron subsidiary in the Weapon Systems area, seeks an Experienced Systems Engineer II/III to support development of complex military systems. You will drive requirements traceability, interface management, and risk assessments within an integrated engineering team in Wilmington, MA.

Responsibilities include modeling, requirements decomposition, architecture generation, and lifecycle oversight from development to fielding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related discipline with 2 years of related experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Customer interfacing and ability to build relationships
• Use of Model Based Systems Engineering principles to develop SysML Models and DOORS requirement management tool preferred
• Ability to work in teams and independently with minimal direction
• An existing U.S. Security Clearance is preferred. The ability to obtain one is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct system modeling, operations analysis, and requirements decomposition in support of system design. Perform system level trade analysis of different design options including estimated development and operational costs.
• Develop system requirement specification for the overall system including verification plans
• Generate overall system architecture to satisfy customer, functional, reliability, and safety requirements.
• Address Engineering Lifecycle from development to manufacturing to fielding and support
• Ensure requirements traceability, interface management, and risk analysis for the system. Coordinate and execute milestone project reviews, technical reviews, and decision tradeoff analysis.
