Job summary

Textron Systems in Utah is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer III to lead the development of complex military systems and support the engineering lifecycle from design through fielding. You will work with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative defense technologies.

Responsibilities include system modeling, requirements decomposition, architecture generation, verification planning, and ensuring traceability, risk analysis, and technical reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline with 5+ years of related experience.
• Excellent written and oral communications.
• Customer interfacing and ability to build relationships.
• Ability to work in teams and independently with minimal direction.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain SAP level clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering efforts and support development of complex military systems.
• Conduct system modeling, operations analysis, and requirements decomposition for design.
• Develop system requirements specification and verification plans.
• Generate overall system architecture to satisfy customer, functional, reliability, and safety requirements.
• Address engineering lifecycle from development through manufacturing to fielding and support.
• Ensure requirements traceability, interface management, and risk analysis; coordinate milestone reviews and technical tradeoffs.
• Utilize MBSE and SysML to develop model-based representations; leverage DOORS for requirements management.
