Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Systems Engineer at Levels 2 or 3 in Promontory, UT or Magna, UT. You will guide the team’s technical execution, standards, and integration for defense programs, mentoring engineers and maintaining model-based systems engineering flow. The role requires a STEM degree, 2–5 years of experience, ability to obtain a U.S.

Government Secret clearance, and travel 5%–10%. Nuclear/rocket motor knowledge and leadership are highly valued as the project spans

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (STEM) with 2 years of professional experience or Master’s degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Minimum of 2 years in systems engineering methods.
• Understanding of solid rocket motor system physics, design and testing.
• Willingness to travel 5%–10%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with customers and program team members to understand the intent and needs of the integrated system.
• Translate customer requirements into subsystem and component specifications.
• Analyze system needs and translate into verifiable performance and design requirements.
• Support verification approaches and develop analysis and test results.
• Incorporate customer-directed changes into the system and manage changes.
