Northrop Grumman Space Sector in Promontory, UT is seeking a Systems Engineer at Level 2 or Level 3 to define the art of the possible, mentor a team, and support NASA programs. The role reports to the Systems Engineering Manager and follows a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

The position requires a STEM degree with 2 years (Level 2) or 5 years (Level 3) of experience, ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance, and travel of 5–10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (STEM) with 2 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
• Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years in Systems Engineering methods
• Strong understanding and broad application of systems engineering thinking
• Understanding of solid rocket motor system physics, design and testing
• Ability to travel: Travel expectation of 5% - 10%

Responsabilités

• Coordinate with customers and program team members to understand the intent and needs of the integrated system
• Evaluate and manage customer requirements and derived flow down into subsystem and component specifications as appropriate
• Analyze the needs of the system and translate into verifiable performance and design requirements
• Support associated verification approach and work with engineering teams to develop analysis and test results to support stakeholder requirements
• Integrate customer directed changes into the system and facilitate implementation of changes within a change management system
• Coordinate and communicate between multiple cross-functional subsystem teams
• Support capture of model architecture for model-based integration of requirements, design, analysis, and verification.
