Job summary

RTX in Aurora, CO seeks a Systems Engineer II for EO/IR Processing to design, prototype, and validate RF/EO/IR signal processing algorithms that enable mission-critical sensor performance. You will collaborate across software, systems, hardware and test teams to bring algorithms from concept through live-fire testing on-site.

The role requires activity in an engineering environment with cross-functional integration and performance assessments. DoD Secret clearance and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in EO/IR, RF, sonar or acoustic signal processing.
• C, C++, C#, or Java programming experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced signal processing techniques to missile systems programs.
• Develop simulations for design, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of processing algorithms.
• Support lab activities to test and validate sensor models and algorithm performance.
• Collaborate with Software, Systems, Hardware, and Test Engineering to integrate algorithms into hardware.
• Design, implement, analyze, and optimize EO/IR and RF processing algorithms.
• Participate in design reviews and inter-team technical meetings and briefings.
• Support system integration, verification, validation, and lifecycle performance assessments.
