Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line in the San Diego area is seeking a senior systems administrator to support and maintain our enterprise infrastructure. You will manage hardware and software, implement security across identity platforms, and collaborate with cloud teams across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

The role emphasizes problem solving, documentation, and cross-functional teamwork in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with server technologies.
• Experience with cloud services; Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, AWS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of storage architecture and virtualization.
• Experience using Visio or other tools for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain systems infrastructure including hardware and software.
• Monitor systems performance and recommend changes and upgrades based on utilization.
• Perform maintenance and upgrades to systems.
• Collaborate with Technical Architects to assist with systems design.
• Assist administrators in the implementation of systems infrastructure.
• Provide support and assistance to OD users for systems needs.
• Assist in supporting server hardware infrastructure and hardware and software solutions on multiple hardware platforms.
• Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosis of enterprise systems issues.
• Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies/products/trends related to architectural solutions.
• Administer and support Active Directory environments.
• Manage and support Okta Identity Cloud.
• Administer Google Cloud Identity and IAM services.
• Administer AWS IAM users, roles, policies, federated identities, and access controls.
• Enforce IAM security standards and best practices.
• Assist in remediation of security findings related to identity platforms.
