Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team in a full-time role. You will monitor and maintain our enterprise systems, collaborate with architects, and help design scalable solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of server technologies experience, strong problem-solving, and hands-on expertise with Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, and IAM services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education and experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience with server technologies
• Experience with cloud services: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, AWS
• Knowledge of storage architecture and virtualization
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain systems infrastructure including hardware and software
• Monitor systems performance and recommend changes and upgrades based on utilization
• Perform maintenance and upgrades to systems
• Collaborate with Technical Architects to assist with systems design
• Assist administrators in the implementation of systems infrastructure
• Provide support to OD users for systems needs
• Support server hardware infrastructure and related solutions
• Troubleshoot and diagnose enterprise systems issues
• Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies related to architectural solutions
• Administer and support Active Directory environments
• Manage and support Okta Identity Cloud
• Administer Google Cloud Identity and IAM services
• Administer AWS IAM users, roles, policies, federated identities, and access controls
• Enforce IAM security standards and best practices
• Assist in remediation of security findings related to identity platforms
