Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a IT Systems Administrator to maintain the company’s systems infrastructure, including hardware and software, and to implement upgrades. You will monitor performance, collaborate with architects, and support OD users across multiple platforms.

The role requires 5+ years of server technology experience, strong communication, and expertise in cloud services (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS) and identity management (AD, Okta, IAM).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education and experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience with server technologies
• Knowledge and experience working in cloud services: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, AWS
• Knowledge of storage architecture and virtualization
• Experience using Visio or other documentation tools

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the organization’s systems infrastructure (hardware and software)
• Monitor systems performance and recommend changes/upgrades based on utilization
• Perform maintenance and upgrades to systems
• Collaborate with Technical Architects to assist with systems design
• Assist administrators in implementing systems infrastructure
• Provide support and assistance to OD users for systems needs
• Support server hardware infrastructure and hardware/software solutions across platforms
• Troubleshoot and diagnose enterprise systems issues
• Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies/products/trends related to architectural solutions
• Administer and support Active Directory environments
• Manage and support Okta Identity Cloud
• Administer Google Cloud Identity and IAM services
• Administer AWS IAM users, roles, policies, federated identities, and access controls
• Enforce IAM security standards and best practices
• Assist in remediation of security findings related to identity platforms
