Job summary

Proconex is seeking a Systems Engineer specializing in Ignition SCADA to support, develop, and enhance manufacturing automation solutions for diverse life sciences and industrial environments.

You will work with operations, engineering, IT, and OT teams to deliver reliable automation, scalable systems, and improved operational efficiency while maintaining documentation and compliance where required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Ignition SCADA development
• 3+ years industrial automation in manufacturing
• 3+ years integrating PLC platforms (Rockwell/Siemens/Schneider)
• 2+ years SQL database experience
• 2+ years customer-facing engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, Automation or related field

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain Ignition HMI/SCADA applications and automation solutions.
• Integrate Ignition with PLCs, equipment, historians, databases, and OT systems.
• Configure networks and protocols (OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
• Develop dashboards and interfaces for operations and manufacturing performance.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, SCADA, databases, networks, and integrations to minimize downtime.
• Support upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management.
