What You Will Do
- Support design, development, requirements management of a system
- Support planning and execution of Integration, Verification, or Troubleshoot Test activities in our labs, in the field, or at a Depot facility
- Support activity may require travel
- Support qualification of our products
- Support troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment
- Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLAB
- Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders
- Support in managing engineering support activities related to test and trouble-shoot of hardware
- Perform root-cause analysis & implement minor design changes
- Maintain engineering specifications (DS, ARD, etc.) & drawing (Schematics & Assembly Drawings)
- Maintain engineering databases
- Coordinate engineering tag up and meetings between the Program, System Engineering, and Chief Engineer
- Resolve and coordinate system technical solutions with Engineering teams
- Provide technical guidance and support to Engineering IPTLs
- Participate in periodic team meetings, interface teleconference meetings, working group meetings
- Support associated with implementing process requirements
- Support for mockup hardware repairs
- Sustainment/Depot returns and repair
What You Will Learn
After completion of comprehensive on-the-job training, the candidate will be a part of a team supporting Systems Engineering and Systems Integration & Test activities across the product development lifecycle.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by start date
- Experience with tools, such as Microsoft Office, MATLAB or Python, for data analysis and automation
- Experience with troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting, including the use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with or exposure to various military platforms for weapons conveyance, such as ships, ground combat systems, fixed and rotary wing aircraft
- Experience with using telemetry data collection equipment to capture real-time data and/or real-time monitoring
- Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communications protocols
- Experience with reading and integrating software routines with hardware/electronics; C/C++/C# preferred
- Experience with instrumentation and collection of large data sets, including the application of scripting or automation to data collection and analysis
