Job summary

VC3 is hiring a Systems Engineer I (Hybrid) to resolve complex tech issues for clients across the US and Canada. You’ll handle escalations, support key business technologies, and follow the VC3 Way to deliver predictable results.

• 2+ years relevant technical experience or 1 year at VC3 in a similar role
• Experience managing Windows Services, MS 365, Active Directory, GPOs, Security, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Hyper-V and VMware

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to escalated service requests, incidents and change requests promptly
• Troubleshoot issues across LOB apps, Microsoft Office, browsers, networking, VPN/RDS/Citrix, printers
• Perform virus/malware removal, phishing remediation, password resets
• Manage Active Directory and Group Policy
• Work with Microsoft 365/Entra ID
• Identify recurring issues and create problem tickets
• Suggest improvements to hardware/software for security posture
• Maintain accurate timesheets and notes; occasional on-site presence
• Participate in on-call rotation

The Impact You Will Have

In this role, you’ll resolve complex technical issues, ensuring our clients receive timely and effective solutions. By managing escalated service requests and supporting key business technologies, you’ll play a critical role in driving client success. You will understand and follow the VC3 Way, our set of standards and processes to ensure a predictable result for the customer.

What You Will Be Doing

• Receive and respond to escalated service requests, incidents and change requests in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot issues across LOB applications, Microsoft Office, browsers, networking (DNS, DHCP, ISP), VPN/RDS/Citrix, wireless, and peripherals such as printers
• Complete technical administrative tasks such as virus/malware removal, phishing email remediation, add/remove/change virtual server resources, and application password resets
• Expertise with Active Directory and Group Policy Management
• Strong background working in Microsoft 365 Partner Center/Entra ID
• Identify recurring issues and initiate problem tickets for them
• Make recommendations for improvements of supported hardware and software, with an eye on our clientele’s security posture
• Maintain accurate and real time timesheets, record complete and accurate notes of troubleshooting and communication with clients
• Occasional on-site presence to client sites as required
• Participate in the on-call rotation (1 week every 3-4 months)
• Additional duties as required

The Tools You Bring

• 2+ years relevant technical experience OR 1 year experience in Service Technician I or II at VC3
• 2+ years experience managing: Windows Service, Microsoft/Office 365, Active Directory, GPOs, Virus and Security, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Hyper-V and VMWare
• CompTIA Network/A+, Microsoft 365 or Azure certifications highly desired
